Why cyber. Why now.
This isn't a career pivot from scratch. It's the natural next layer of a security career that was already built on understanding how systems fail, how people behave, and how organizations protect themselves.
My role is already half cyber
As Physical Security Program Coordinator, I manage access control platforms, CCTV networks, visitor management systems, and security software. The line between physical and cyber security is thinner than most people realize.
I understand the threat landscape differently
Most cyber professionals have never stood at an access control panel or written a physical security policy. That operational perspective — knowing how buildings, people, and systems interact — is a rare advantage in security roles.
Hands-on from day one
Learning through TryHackMe — real labs, real attack scenarios, not just theory. Network security, Linux, OSINT, vulnerability assessment. I believe in doing, not just studying.
Already credentialed in the space
Working through CompTIA Security+ and building toward AWS and CCSP. A deliberate, cloud-forward path — starting with fundamentals and moving into specialization.
The roadmap
Where I've been, where I am, where I'm going.
Actively training on TryHackMe — SOC analyst path, network fundamentals, and offensive security labs.
